As COVID-19 continues to spread throughout most of the world, our thoughts and deepest sympathies are extended to all who have been affected by the disease. To ensure the health and safety of our clients and their horses, Miller & Associates asks that you follow the following Healthy Practice Procedures when we come to treat your horses:
If you are healthy with no signs of illness, please practice social distancing with the doctor and and staff on-site, including social distancing of at least 6-10ft, no physical contact, and appropriate hand washing. Each doctor will arrive with a skilled technician to handle your horse.
If you are ill, suspect that you are becoming ill, or have recently traveled to any restricted area, please do not attend the appointment. Doctors will keep you well-informed of results and treatment plans.
We remain available to you 24/7 in all of our locations, Westchester, Long Island, Wellington, and Ocala. Stay Healthy.

Christopher (Kit) B. Miller
A 1989 graduate of U.C. Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Miller moved East where he completed his clinical internship and worked as an Associate Veterinarian at Delaware Equine Center in Cochranville, Pennsylvania. In 1997, he started his own practice, developing an extensive performance horse clientele throughout the country. A resident of Katonah, New York, Dr. Miller services our clients from the New York office year round and has an established clientele in the area. He spends the winter months in Florida, to provide services to his clients at the Winter Equestrian Festival. Additionally, he has accompanied the United States Equestrian Show Jumping Team at horse shows throughout Europe and Scandinavia and is an accredited F.E.I. veterinarian.
Elizabeth L. Kilgallon
Dr. Kilgallon has a varied and impressive background, with an English literature degree from Princeton University and a veterinary medicine degree from Tufts University. After her graduation from Tufts, Dr. Kilgallon completed a surgical internship, followed by a residency in large animal surgery, both at the University of Pennsylvania, New Bolton Center. Dr. Kilgallon became board certified in large animal surgery in 1994.
Dr. Emily Bruschi, completed her undergraduate education at Skidmore College before attending the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University, graduating in 2014. In her final year at Cornell she received the Gentle Doctor Award for outstanding patient care in the Equine Large Animal Hospital. Following graduation, Dr. Bruschi completed her internship at Fairfield Equine Associates in CT where she gained experience in sports medicine, lameness & emergency medicine. She looks forward to continuing to focus in these areas of equine medicine at Miller & Associates. Growing up on Long Island, Emily competed in the junior jumper & equitation divisions.
Dr. Sarah Cohen grew up in New Jersey showing in the hunters and equitation before attending Purdue University for her undergraduate training. She graduated from Ross University in June of 2007, having completed her clinical training at Iowa State University. Sarah then joined Merritt and Associates Equine Hospital outside of Chicago for a one year intensive internship. Since joining Miller & Associates in 2008, Dr. Cohen has developed a client base consisting of some the most well regarded in the hunter, jumper and grand prix community in the Northeast. Dr. Cohen believes passionately in evidence based medicine and putting the horses needs at the fore of all decisions. Since 2010 she has been a regular on the international scene serving as the USEF show jumping team veterinarian in competitions in Spain, Slovakia, Belgium, France, Wellington and other international competition locales. Sarah serves on the board of directors of the Northeast Association of Equine Practitioners. She lives in Wellington, FL and Waccabuc, NY with her husband and two daughters.
Dr. Faulkner obtained her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011 after graduating from Stanford University with a degree in political science.
Following an internship in ambulatory medicine and hospital work and a fellowship at the New Bolton Center (Pennsylvania) in ultrasound and cardiology, Dr. Faulkner joined the staff at Miller & Associates in July of 2013. Dr. Faulkner’s practice with Miller & Associates focuses on sport horse medicine with an emphasis on imaging.
When time permits, Dr. Faulkner enjoys riding and showing her family’s young homebred jumpers, Capri and Quinn, both out of ABC Fantasie, the mare that carried her to the Young Rider individual bronze medal at the 2005 North American Junior and Young Rider Championships. The pair also competed at the grand prix level in California while Dr. Faulkner attended Stanford.
Born & raised on Long Island, NY, Dr. Nicole Finazzo graduated from Cornell University in 2014. Having also completed her undergrad at Cornell, Dr. Finazzo had the opportunity to work at the veterinary school as a large animal surgical assistant, a student technician in the schools Equine Neonatal Intensive Care Unit & was also a part of the Cornell Colic Crew Program. During her time at Cornell she also maintained an active role in the schools IHSA Equestrian Team. In 2014, Nicole became certified in veterinary acupuncture from Colorado State University. Having recently completed her internship at Mid Atlantic Equine Medical Center in NJ, Dr. Finazzo joins Miller & Associates with a special interest in sports medicine & general practice with a focus on rehabilitation with the use of alternative & regenerative therapies. Nicole’s love for the outdoors means she is an avid hiker & a keen gardener.
Dr. Kristen Darragh is a native of Orefield, Pennsylvania, she grew up competing in the jumper divisions. After completing her undergraduate studies at Lafayette College in 2011, Dr. Darragh then attended the University of Edinburgh to complete her veterinarian education graduating in 2015. Prior to joining the Miller & Associates team, Dr. Darragh completed an internship at the Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center in Ringoes, NJ.
Dr. Marr graduated with high honors from the Atlantic Veterinary College of Prince Edward Island, Canada, in 2000. Following graduation, she served as an intern at the Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center and accepted an ambulatory associate position at the end of that year. In 2002, Dr. Marr completed the acupuncture program offered at Tufts University.
Although Dr. Marr has worked for Miller & Associates for the past six years in Florida during the winter months, she accepted a full-time position with the practice in 2013. Dr. Marr will make her residence in Florida, where she will help to establish a more permanent base for Miller & Associates near the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington. During the summer months, Dr. Marr will be based in Westchester County, New York.
She currently competes in the amateur-owner and adult jumper sections aboard a variety of horses owned by herself and her family’s Hidden Brook Farm.
Dr. Erica Rosen was born and raised in New Paltz, NY and grew up riding and showing in the hunter and equitation rings. After completing her undergraduate degree at Cornell University, Erica moved to warmer weather to earn her DVM at the University of Florida. At the UF College of Veterinary Medicine she worked closely with surgical faculty on research involving upper airway anatomy and function in performance horses, and received the Barbaro Award and Scholarship for commitment to equine medicine and surgery. Following graduation, Erica joined Fairfield Equine Associates for a one-year internship, which allowed her to focus on care and maintenance of the sport horse.
Aside from veterinary medicine and horses, Erica is an avid sports fan and is pleased to be back home in the northeast.
