From Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Dr. Cailin Drexler spent much of her youth on her family's horse farm, as her mother competed in both show hunters and dressage. She quickly learned that she shared her mother's passion. She got her first pony at age seven and received her competitive foundation in Pony Club before progressing to the show circuit in the hunter, jumper, and equitation divisions, in both Canada and the U.S.

Drexler received her veterinary degree from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, Scotland. When she isn't treating her patients, she enjoys cooking, hiking with her dog, and riding whenever possible. She calls her time in the saddle, "the best therapy!"
